Sales Manager
Lee Whitley was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland. She discovered the Outer Banks in August 1976 and made it her permanent home. Lee attended College of the Albemarle and received her N.C. Broker’s Real Estate license in 1981. Lee has been with Kitty Hawk Land Company since January 1978, beginning as executive assistant to the president during the early development period of Southern Shores (later incorporated into a township) and The Currituck Club. For the past 15 years, she has worked closely with the development side of new home communities and honed her skills assisting buyers and sellers for all types of real estate needs on the Outer Banks – relocation, retirement, investment and first-time home buyers with properties ranging from modest starter homes to large oceanfront rental properties, single family home sites following through to the construction phase, and commercial properties. She is the Sales Manager for Marshes Light, a new waterfront marina community, which is located in the historic district of downtown Manteo. Marshes Light at build-out will have a 60 room inn, retail buildings, condominiums, single family homes and a full-service marina. Lee writes a lifestyle blog about the Outer Banks at www.beachroadtomanteo.com.
Lee and her family make their home in Southern Shores. Lee is a part-time student at College of the Albemarle.
