FRIDAY – APRIL 4TH – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: First Friday Festival - stroll the Manteo waterfront – shop unique boutiques – browse our galleries – visit the attractions of Roanoke Island – dine at one of many wonderful restaurants. Our very own Heather VanderMyde will be giving a hoop-ing demonstration and there will be hoops for sale (this is a great way to have fun and work out). There’s live music with the R&B and Soul sounds of Old Enough to Know Better or enjoy the folk and blues of Denny Blue. See the “Art of the Bloom” show at the Dare County Art’s Council Sea &Sounds Gallery; and meet the artist E. M. Corsa at the new Full Moon Gallery. For the young and young-at-heart, test yourself on the famous Rock Climbing Wall from Kitty Hawk Kites and witness Magic Mike’s amazing sleight of hand magic tricks and balloon sculpture artistry.
SATURDAY – APRIL 5TH – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: The Studio Tour. Visit the working studios of over 40 artists from Hatteras to Corolla. Tickets are available at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery or at any studio the day of the tour for $15/adults and $5/students.
