There are several architectural designs that have already been approved and are here for you to review. Whatever you have in mind for a home that represents you and your lifestyle, we will work to make it happen. The town of Manteo has architectural and building standards and Marshes Light subscribes to 'The Manteo Way of Building: A Guide for Development'. This is a set of guidelines that allow for architectural change in Manteo over the next 20 years while maintaining its present coastal character. If you look at our villa homes, you see that there is a blending of old and new. That is the goal for our single family homes as well.
Marshes Light has just twenty-two single family home sites available. These homesites and the community that surrounds them are sized to comfortably fit custom designed three and four bedroom homes with front and back parking for each home as well as the opportunity to have a garage and even a mother-in-law suite on some lots.
